The construction which simultaneously began on the three long connected roads last week has been at an unprecedented pace with the contractor, Wunmi Waterlation Nig. Ltd., employing modern road-building technology.

The three roads are among the inbound ones listed for attention by the council boss within his first 100 days in office.

Other roads on the council boss’ 100 days blueprint include Mureni/Shonibare, Aderinto Streets and Kogberegbe street which work will commence on soonest.

He maintained that the roads, upon completion, will not only ease vehicular activities but also boost commerce in the area.

We are grateful to the council chairman for walking the talk on his campaign promises to us,” said, Elder Jare Oguntoyinbo, the CDA Treasurer who also doubles as Ex-Officio at the CDC.

He continued that, “At the CDA level, we are heeding the advice of the council chairman as it has to do with ensuring that residents are of utmost cooperation with the contractor. The secretary of the CDA, Mr. Sesan Adebayo is always at the site to monitor and ensure residents’ maximum cooperation with the contractor. We have the assurance that work will soon commence on Karimu and Aregbe streets to complement the efforts on Ehingbeti, Lamina Lawal and Shodehinde.”

An Electronic Engineer on the street, Mr Muritala Sanni has this to say; “This ongoing project is highly laudable and we are happy that we are enjoying the dividends of democracy. Before now the road is worst. The road is infamous for its bad portions which have caused many vehicles to break down. This effort will put a lasting end to our suffering on the road and will improve commercial activities too.”
