DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN scored his seventh goal of the season to rescue a point for Everton against big rivals Liverpool.
But there was late drama at Goodison Park when Jordan Henderson thought he had bundled home the winner – only for VAR to rule it out for offisde.
And it was by the minutest of margins.
Red-hot striker Calvert-Lewin leapt like a salmon on 80 minutes to plant a header beautifully past Adrian in the Reds’ goal.
It was the second assist of the game for James Rodriguez, who had earlier swung a corner in that Michael Keane headed in.
Sadio Mane had put Jurgen Klopp’s champions ahead after just three minutes, but Keane levelled things up 16 minutes later.
Mo Salah, who had barely been involved in the game, hammered home for 2-1 in the 72nd minute.
But Calvert-Lewin did what he does best – scoring, but the point was soure3d when Richarlison was shown a straight red close to full time for a crude challenge on Fabinho.
