Nigeria Moves To Extradite Sunday Igboho From Benin Republic
The Federal Government of Nigeria has commenced the process to extradite Sunday Igboho from Benin Republic, Daily Post reports.
The Yoruba agitator was apprehended in the neighboring country on Monday night.
Nigeria is not expected to face resistance from the Beninoise government, an age-long ally.
The authorities regard Africa’s most populous nation as “big brother”.
Igboho was declared wanted after the Department of State Services (DSS) operation at his Ibadan residence on July 1.
He was asked to turn himself in to the nearest security agency. But the secessionist went underground.
