Qatar promises to build schools, clinic and water facilities in Yobe

This promise was given on Friday when Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai-Mala Buni pay a courtesy visit in Abuja on the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Nigeria, Abdulaziz Mubarak Al-Muhamadi

Al-Muhamadi said Qatar would construct schools, clinics and water facilities among others to complement government efforts to improve the lives of the people.

A statement by the spokesman to Yobe State Governor, Mallam Mamman Mohammed said the state of Qatar has pledged to support Yobe state government in building infrastructure across the state.

He said the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Abdulaziz Mubarak Al-Muhamadi,  made this statement on Friday when Governor Mai-Mala Buni paid him a courtesy visit.

The spokesman said Al-Muhamadi said Qatar would construct schools, clinics and water facilities among others to complement government efforts to improve the lives of the people.

He quoted the Ambassador to have said: “The state of Qatar will support your government to improve the lives of your people with befitting facilities.”

The Ambassador said the State of Qatar would also consider direct flight from Qatar to Yobe state through the Damaturu  International cargo airport  when completed to support direct investment into the state. 

On his part, Buni said Yobe state government would provide the necessary support for the partnership to succeed.

He said: “This opportunity will support our programme and focus on infrastructural and economic  development in the state.”
