BRAVE New World is a series depicting a world that is at once dystopian and utopian.
New London is the name of the area that most of the series takes place in, but some scenes happen in the Savage Lands.
Where is Brave New World filmed?
Most of the show was shot in Llanharan’s Dragon Film Studios, as reported by The Cinemaholic.
A beach scene was shot in Pembrey and other areas in South Wales.
Actors reportedly spent six months on location filming.
The production company gave back to the area while filming, as they launched a training programme to offer Welsh locals the chance to work on the series.
Welsh Government Minister, Lord Elis-Thomas, said: “This is a landmark moment for the creative industries sector in Wales.
“The importance of our investment in this production to the future development of our film and television industry cannot be understated.”
London was used for a small amount of filming for backdrops.
Canary Wharf was used which is an area known for its corporate appearance.
What is Brave New World about?
Brave New World is set in an imagined future, in which humans are living without monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself.
Everyone is also required to take a pill to be happy and is used to getting what they want when they want it.
Outside of New London exists the Savage Lands, where people are living very differently.
The story is based on a bestselling book of the same name and it’s often compared to George Orwell’s 1984, which is also set in dystopian London.
