All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Oshodi/Isolo local government, Temitope Zainul-Abedeen Tijani (TZAT), has urged journalists across the world, most especially in Oshodi to always report the true part of events..
Mr. Tijani in a statement Monday which he personally signed , to mark the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, which is observed globally every May 3, also implored Journalists not to be judgmental and avoid placing favoritism in their reports.
He added that they should report without adding their thoughts.
On the conventional news reporting, he noticed that fake news is on the increase in our society, pledging that he will ensure the peddling of fake news in grassroots government is suppressed once he has been given the mandate.
Continuing, TZAT who lamented that people are losing interest in the grassroots government, said his administration will allow Journalism already known as fourth Estate of the realm to discharge its
duties without constraint, by changing the bad notion people have about local government.
This he said, will allow people to have a clearer picture of what is going on in their locality.
