BUA CEO Pledges .55 Million Incentive to Super Eagles Ahead of Semi-Finals Clash

A prominent Nigerian philanthropist and sports enthusiast, Abdul Samad Rabiu, CFR,CON (ASR), has congratulated the Super Eagles on their impressive victory against Algeria, describing the win as a moment that lifted the spirit of the nation and rekindled collective pride.

In a statement made available  on his Facebook page on Friday, ASR applauded the players for their resilience, discipline and fighting spirit, while assuring them of continued support as they prepare for the semi-finals of the competition.

“To encourage the team and further motivate them ahead of the semi-finals, I pledge a sum of USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final match, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored,” the statement read.

ASR further announced a more substantial incentive should the Super Eagles advance to and win the final. According to him, a victory in the final will attract a pledge of USD $1,000,000, alongside an extra USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final match.

He noted that the Super Eagles have once again demonstrated their ability to unite Nigerians across ethnic, religious and political divides, adding that their success on the pitch symbolizes hope and national pride.

ASR urged the players to remain focused and determined, assuring them that the entire nation stands solidly behind them.
“Keep making Nigeria proud. Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward,” he added.

The Super Eagles’ victory over Algeria has continued to generate excitement across the country, with fans and stakeholders expressing optimism ahead of the semi-final encounter.
