2022 World Cup: 10 countries qualify for Round of 16

At least 10 countries have booked their places in the Round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup.

On Wednesday night, Argentina, Poland and Australia confirmed their slots in the knockout rounds.

Lionel Messi missed a penalty as Albiceleste beat Poland 2-0, thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez.

The Poles are through on goals difference after Mexico beat Saudi Arabia 2-1.

Australia qualified thanks to a 1-0 win over Denmark.

They all joined England, Senegal, Netherlands, USA, Brazil, France and Portugal in the Round of 16.

Netherlands face USA, France take on Poland, Argentina will play Australia and England come up against Senegal in the confirmed fixtures.
