2022 World Cup: 7 countries qualify for Round of 16

At least five countries have qualified for the Round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup.

They are: England, Senegal, Netherlands, USA, Brazil, France and Portugal.

After Tuesday matches, England, Senegal, Netherlands and USA confirmed their spots in the knockout stages.

Aliou Cisse’s men saw off Ecuador 2-1, Netherlands beat hosts Qatar 2-0 and the Americans edged a tensed 1-0 win over Iran.

England will clash with Senegal in the Round of 16, while Netherlands take on the USA.

More teams will be looking to qualify on Wednesday, when Australia play Denmark and France face Tunisia.

In the late kick-offs, Argentina are up against Poland and Saudi Arabia clash with Mexico.
