The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, Dino Melaye, has urged Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State-led G5 governors to stop dancing naked ahead of the 2023 general election.

DAILY POST reports that the Wike-led group is against the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over the zoning pattern in the party.

The group, which has refused to campaign for Atiku, insisted that the North can’t produce the party’s Presidential flagbearer and the National Chairman for the 2023 Presidential election.

The G-5 group comprising governors from Enugu, Benue, Oyo, Rivers and Abia States.

They had also demanded the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu as PDP National Chairman.

Wike, who became aggrieved after losing to Atiku, said the G-5 wants the position of the party’s National Chairman zoned to the Southern part of Nigeria.

However, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday night, Melaye also called on Wike and the other four governors to return back to the party and build a formidable strength against the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that they should not give colouration of religious bigotry.

He tweeted: “Governor Wike and the other G4 Governors must quickly come back home and build a formidable strength against the party regarded as public enemy (APC).

“The five governors are all Christians and should not give colouration of religious bigotry. It is time to stop dancing naked. SDM.”
