2027: Imo Coordinator Threatens Protest Vote Against NDC, Obi Over Odunzeh’s Senatorial Ticket

Comrade Ibeh Chukwuemeka, a grassroots political youths mobilizer in Imo State, has indicated the possibility of protest votes throughout Imo State against the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and its 2027 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, should there be any interference with the senatorial ticket of Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh.
Comrade Chukwuemeka asserted that Hon. Odunzeh emerged victorious in the May 29, 2026, Senatorial primaries of the NDC in the Orlu Zone, having secured the majority of votes in eight out of the twelve council areas that comprise the Oru Zone, also known as Imo West.
He mentioned that there is video and photographic evidence to substantiate Hon. Odunzeh’s success in the primaries.
Comrade Chukwuemeka, who serves as one of the Imo State Coordinator of Ok 2027, identified the eight council areas as Orlu, Oru-East, Njaba, Nwangele, Nkwerre, Isu, Ideato North, and Ideato South.
He stated, “Any attempt to undermine the victory of Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, who won the NDC Senatorial primaries in the Orlu Zone, will be met with resistance. We will mobilize a protest vote against the NDC Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, throughout the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State during the January 2027 Presidential election.
“Videos and pictures of the NDC direct primaries are available to authenticate our assertion.”
