AFCON 2023: Super Eagles among favourites to win title — Equatorial Guinea boss

Equatorial Guinea head coach, Juan Micha has named the Super Eagles of Nigeria among the favourites to win title at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nzalang Nacional are in the same group as the three-time African champions.

Micha’s side will confront the Super Eagles in their opening game at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe on Sunday.

The West Africans will also face hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau in the same group.

Micha said the Super Eagles alongside Senegal, Morocco and Egypt are the team to beat in the competition.

“I think it is difficult to predict because there are Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and also Senegal, the former champion, Egypt, and Morocco. So I will not predict who will be the champion, but we have to wait,” he told Micha.
