After 15 years, today is my last day as a London bus driver

After 15 years as a London bus driver, my journey behind the wheel came to a heartfelt close.

On my last day at Victoria Station, I made a special announcement over the PA:
“After 15 years, today is my last day as a London bus driver. It has been a pleasure transporting you across the city. Thank you all for being part of my journey.”

To my surprise, the entire bus erupted in cheers, and as passengers stepped off one final time, many wished me good luck.
Back then, I had no GCSEs and only a Level 1 qualification in English. The future felt uncertain. Yet, six years later, I’m proud to share what determination and C-type goals can achieve.
