AGAIN! SO SAD: Accident Kills Oba Onibuku On Idiroko Expressway

The indigenous and inhabitants of Onibuku community in Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State are currently in confusion following the dead of their Kabiyesi, Oba Abraham Olusegun Bankole, who suddenly died today, July 25, 2023.

The prestigious Kabiyesi met his sudden death as result of road traffic crash.

He died instantly on Idiroko expressway, very close to Winners Chapel, when a moving truck with registration number EPE 252 XF, belonged to Rocket Jinja Liquor matched on him while trying to come down from a tricyclist, popularly know as Keke Marwa which the Kabiyesi was traveling with after hitting it from behind.

It was gathered from eyewitness that the Kabiyesi fell down while trying to escape after fear gripped him as a result of high level the truck hit the Keke Marwa from behind and in the process matched with same truck.

His remain has been deposited at Ota General Hospital morgue while the truck moved out of the road by police for free flow of traffic.

Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), while commiserating with the Kabiyesi’s family and entire inhabitants of the community, urged motorists and other road users to always to always imbibe the culture of defensive driving while behind the wheels.

He condemned some careless attitude of hydraulic vehicles’ drivers on the road. He admonished the motoring public to desist from excessive speed, overloading, one-way drive and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on the road.
