Akwa United boss, Osho confident of good outing in Naija Super 8

Newly appointed Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho is buzzing with excitement ahead of his first outing with the Uyo club.

The Promise Keepers are in Lagos to take part in the Naija Super 8 pre-season tournament.

The one-time Nigeria Premier League champions are drawn in Group B with Yobe Desert Stars, Rivers United and Lobi Stars.

Enyimba, Remo Stars, Sporting Lagos and Katsina United are in Group A.

Osho have just one week to prepare his team for the competition but is upbeat that they will put up a good display in Lagos.

“No room for excuses. Akwa Utd is a brand and we must go to Lagos to defend our badge,” the young tactician was quoted by the club’s official website.

Akwa United will take on Yobe Desert Stars in their first game of the competition on Saturday.
