Akwa United embark on end of season break

The management of Akwa United have announced a three-week end-of-season break for players and officials of the club.
The Promise Keepers had a disappointing 2022-23 Nigeria Premier Football League season missing out on the Super Six playoff ticket.
The former NPFL champions were also bundled out of the Federation Cup in the Round of 32 fixture by EFCC FC.
The Chairman of the club, Paul Bassey, regretted the team’s inability to qualify for the season-ending playoffs.
He expressed sadness over losing out on continental football next season and for ending the season without a trophy for second year in a row.
Bassey commended the players and the coaches for their contributions and dedication to the team.
