Appointment of principal officers based on merit – KASU

The management of Kaduna State University, KASU, on Friday, said the recent recruitment of principal officers was based on merit and in accordance with laid down rules and regulations of the instructions.

This was contained in a special bulletin, signed by the Registrar of the institution, Hajia Samira Balarab.

The university rules and regulations on the recruitment of principal officers, empowered the Governing Council of the institution, to appoint Principal Officers; Registrar, Bursar, and Librarian on merit
adding that the principal officers undergo a rigorous process of screening and interviews

She said in the same way, the appointment of staff into various positions in the university was also based on academic knowledge, and track record among other considerations.

She said the management of the institution aims to transform the university into a world-class institution with an excellent record of performance.

“The institution has been at the forefront of innovation and excellence, constantly striving to provide state-of-the-art facilities and programmes that enhance the academic and research experiences of our students and faculty,” she said.
