Argentina vs France: Morocco coach Regragui names country to win Qatar 2022 World Cup
Morocco boss Walid Regragui has said that his country has pushed their support to France after they crashed out of the World Cup the semi-final on Wednesday.
According to him, Morocco will now support France to win the tournament in Qatar after they lost 2-0 to the world champions.
Morocco became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final in Qatar, but goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani at the Al Bayt Stadium ended their impressive run.
Addressing reporters after the game, Regragui revealed who he will be supporting in the final on Sunday.
“This was one step too far. We had too many players at 60-70% fitness. My players gave everything. They have gone as far as they could. We will support France now,” he said.
France will become the first nation since 60 years ago to win the World Cup back-to-back if they conquer Argentina on Sunday.
