AYCF warns Lagos commissioner against using derogative language against Arewa community

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) on Saturday vowed to establish legal action against anyone found to infringe on the rights of the peace-loving people of the Arewa community in Lagos State.

Alhaji Yerima Shettima, National President of the group, in a statement he issued in Kaduna on Saturday, advised the Lagos waterfront commissioner to face his primary duty and keep off from the activities of the traditional institution.

Shettima, while calling on the Lagos State Governor to call his commissioner to order over his use of derogatory language against Governor Ganduje, who by virtue of his age, and not just being a governor, deserves a respect, further praised the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his peace moves and intervention efforts.

According to him, the governor’s efforts would equally improve the existing cordial relationship between the Arewa Community in Lagos led by HRH Alhaji Aminu Idris Yaro Dogara.
