Bosworth College International Holds 10th Biennial Inter-House Sports Festival

Bosworth College International is set to host its 10th Biennial Inter-House Sport Festival of Games, bringing together students, parents, and invited guests for a day of exciting athletic competition and celebration of sportsmanship.
The colourful sporting event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 27, 2026 , at the ESD Field, Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, Ikeja, with activities kicking off at 10:00 a.m. Students from the school’s four houses—Yellow House, Green House, Purple House, and Blue House —will compete fiercely for honour and glory under the theme “ 4 Houses; 1 Victory!”
The inter-house sports festival, which holds every two years, is designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and unity among students while encouraging healthy competition within the school community.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Proprietor of the institution, Rotn. Hon. Olukayode Salako, described the sports festival as an important platform for nurturing well-rounded students.
According to him, “Education is not only about academic excellence but also about character building, teamwork and physical development. Our inter-house sports festival provides our students with the opportunity to discover their talents, build confidence, and learn the values of discipline and fair play.”
He further noted that the management of the college remains committed to raising future leaders through a balanced educational system that combines academics, sports, and moral development.
“At Bosworth College International, we believe that sports help to shape leadership qualities, resilience and unity among young people. This event is not just about winning medals but about building friendships, encouraging teamwork and celebrating the spirit of healthy competition,” Salako added.
Parents, guardians, alumni and other invited guests are expected to attend the event to cheer the young athletes as they showcase their strength, agility and determination across various track and field competitions.
The inter-house sports festival has become one of the most anticipated events in the school’s calendar, providing a vibrant platform for students to demonstrate their athletic abilities while strengthening the bond within the Bosworth College community.
As the countdown begins, expectations are high among the four houses, each determined to emerge as the overall champion at the end of the day’s competition.
The Bosworth College International Inter-House Sports Festival also reflects the broader vision of advancing education and youth development in Lagos State. By encouraging sports, discipline, and teamwork among students, the institution aligns with the state’s commitment to raising a generation of well-rounded young leaders who are not only academically sound but also physically active, socially responsible, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to the future growth and development of Lagos and Nigeria at large.
