Breaking: Matawalle appoints Sen Gusau new Zamfara Deputy Gov

Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle has appointed Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau as Deputy Governor following the impeachment of Barr. Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.

Sen Gasau defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in June 2021.

Gasau represents the Zamfara Central at the National Assembly.

Newsclickng.com reports Zamfara Assembly, in its resumed plenary on Wednesday, impeached Gusau as Deputy Governor with immediate effect.

In a statement, Zamfara Assembly spokesperson, Mustafa Jafaru Kaura, said the former Deputy Governor was found guilty of all the allegations levelled against him.
