BUA Cement Plc honoured its highest-performing distributors at the 2025 Distributors’ Awards, handing out cash prizes, Sports Utility Vehicles, and compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks in recognition of their role in the company’s growth.

The ceremony, held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Convention Centre in Lagos on Thursday, saw 30 distributors recognised across four categories: Regional Champions, Pacesetters, Powerhouse, and Market Dominators. The two top distributors each received cash awards and two CNG trucks, while other leading distributors got one CNG truck each plus monetary rewards. Ten distributors drove away with brand new 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles alongside cash prizes, and Regional Champions received 900 bags of cement each.

BUA Cement’s Managing Director, Engr. Yusuf Binji, praised the distributors for their commitment, stressing that the company is doubling down on strengthening partnerships across its value chain.

“We see you, we value you, and we are working tirelessly to improve our supply chain to make your businesses safer and more profitable,” Binji said.

Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu (CFR, CON) described the awards as a direct reflection of the company’s gratitude for the distributors’ loyalty and performance, noting that their role extends beyond moving cement to contributing to socioeconomic development nationwide.

Rabiu also used the occasion to announce a N30-per-bag bonus for all dealers on volumes purchased in 2025, with a total of N4.5 billion set aside for the initiative. He assured distributors that BUA is boosting production capacity with the addition of Line 6 in Sokoto and a forthcoming 3-million-tonnes-per-annum Ososo plant to meet growing demand.

The event drew industry leaders, business partners, and stakeholders, including Dangote Group Chairman Aliko Dangote.
