CAF Confederation Cup: Eguma hails tactics for Rivers United’s win over Motema Pembe
Rivers United manager, Stanley Eguma has pinpointed his tactical input for his side’s victory against Motema Pembe on Thursday.
The Nigerian champions defeated the Congolese 3-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup matchday four encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Ghanaian star, Paul Acquah scored all three goals for Rivers United.
Eguma, who hailed his tactical genius also praised the performance of their opponent.
“Our opponents played well today but our tactical plans gave us maximum points today” – Eguma said at the post match press conference.
Rivers United top Group B with nine points from four games.
The Pride of Rivers will next face Congo’s Diables Noirs on Sunday, March 19.
