CAF Confederation Cup: Obaseki welcomes Bendel Insurance players from Algiers

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, hosted Bendel Insurance on their arrival from Algiers for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against ASO Chlef.

The contingent received a warm welcome from the state’s number one citizen on their arrival in Benin City on Tuesday.

The Benin Arsenals won the preliminary round contest 4-3 on penalties.

The encounter ended 1-1 on aggregate.

Obaseki appreciated the players’ dedication in progressing to next stage of competition.

Bendel Insurance will lock horns with RS Berkene of Morocco in the second round next month.
