Casemiro vs Thomas Partey: Rio Ferdinand gives verdict on who is a better player

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has given his verdict on who is a better player between Manchester United’s Casemiro and Arsenal’s Thomas Partey this season.

Ferdinand believes Casemiro is better than Partey and that the Ghanaian international cannot be compared to the Brazilian, adding that it is not a competition.

The former England international said this while laughing upon hearing that Partey has been better than Casemiro this season.

His reaction came midway through an episode of his “FIVE” podcast.

Ferdinand was alongside Joel Beya and Stephen Howson. Beya, an Arsenal fan, opined that Partey and his teammate Granit Xhaka have been better than Casemiro so far this season, which led to a burst of laughter from the former Man United defender.

Ferdinand asked Beya if he would pick Partey over Casemiro to play a game tomorrow, the Gunners fan replied in the affirmative, ‘yes’.

Ferdinand then claimed: “Wow! You just keep digging, digging the grave.

“Listen, Partey is a good player, I think he is a really good player. He’s been really good for you guys. But, we are talking about another player (Casemiro) who’s many runs up. All I am saying is, we are talking about Casemiro against Partey, and I am saying it’s not a competition.

“Your Arsenal mob will say the same, the ones who know football.”
