Champions League: Lampard gives updates on Kante, Mount, two others ahead of Real Madrid clash

Chelsea caretaker manager, Frank Lampard, has provided the latest update on N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, César Azpilicueta and Marcus Bettinelli ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Kante, Mount, Azpilicueta and Bettinelli all missed Chelsea’s Premier League 1-0 defeat against Wolves on Saturday.

Recall that Wolves defeated Chelsea at Molineux Stadium, thanks to Matheus Nunes’ only goal of the match.

Providing an update on the four players, Lampard said at his post-match press conference after Wolves defeated Chelsea, “Kante is managing his fitness.

“Azpi is nearly fit, needs a little bit of fitness. Mason had a feeling in his pelvic area, the injury he has been carrying.

“Bettinelli has a small problem,” the Englishman added.
