Community Shield: Guardiola knows Arsenal now better than Man City – Piers Morgan

British broadcaster Piers Morgan has insisted that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola knows that Arsenal are now a better team than the Citizens.

Morgan stated this while reacting to Arsenal’s FA Community Shield victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

DAILY POST reports that Arsenal defeated Manchester City on penalties on Sunday to win the 2023 Community Shield.

Cole Palmer scored for the Premier League champions in the 70th minute at Wembley Stadium.

But Leandro Trossard equalised in the 101st minute when his shot deflected off Michael Akanji into the back of the net to ensure the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side eventually won on penalties after both Kevin de Bruyne and Rodri missed their spot kicks.

Reacting, Morgan, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the game, wrote: “Arsenal are Community Shield champions, winning the most prestigious trophy in world football (this week). Pep’s face says it all. He knows. We’re now the better team.”
