Comparison with Haaland inspires me – Osimhen

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has admitted his admiration for Erling Haaland and claimed comparison with the Manchester City star can only inspire him to become a better player.

Osimhen has scored 21 goals in 23 league appearances for Napoli this season.

Norway international Haaland leads the scorers’ chart in the Premier League with 30 goals.

Osimhen revealed he has been following Haaland’s progress right from when he was at Borussia Dortmund.

“I’ am a fan of the Bundesliga, so I’ve followed him (Haaland) for a while and every weekend he seems to score two, three, four goals,” the Nigeria international said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

“I can score four goals in a game. I can provide more assists. I can do many more things as I have the quality to execute them.”

Osimhen, who is currently nursing a muscle injury has been ruled out of Napoli’s UEFA Champions League clash against AC Milan on Wednesday.
