Doma United coach hails players despite defeat to Dakkada
Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde praised his players despite their 1-0 defeat to Dakkada at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.
It was the Savannah Tigers’ first defeat in four league outings.
Akinade’s charges were thoroughly outplayed in the first half and failed to salvage anything from the game despite their impressive performance after the break.
“We sat deep in the first half and absorbed all the pressure [and] tried to hit them on a counter but it couldn’t work. But as you saw, the boys came all out in the second half,” the gaffer told the club’s media.
“I believe it’s something we will go back home and work on. It wasn’t a bad game entirely. My players gave it their best but it wasn’t just our day. Dakkada played well too.”
Doma United will face Wikki Tourists in their next game.
