EFCC Again Declares Ex Pension Boss Maina Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has once again declared former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, wanted.

The 61-year-old former government official is being sought over an alleged case of receiving stolen property, according to a fresh wanted notice issued by the anti-graft agency.

The EFCC has appealed to members of the public with credible information about Maina’s whereabouts to contact the commission or the nearest police station or security agency.

Maina has previously faced legal proceedings over allegations linked to pension-related financial offences. He was convicted by a Federal High Court in Abuja and sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment in 2022, although he subsequently appealed the conviction.

The latest EFCC notice did not disclose further details about the alleged stolen property or when the alleged offence occurred.
