EFCC arrests cleric, twins, students for alleged internet fraud in Kwara

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday arrested 28 persons suspected “Yahoo boys” in Ilorin, capital of Kwara.
The arrest was effected at Mandate Area following intelligence on the activities of fraudsters operating in the area.
The suspects include a cleric, twin brothers, six students of various institutions, mining operator, a tiler, among others.
The suspects are Toheeb Albarka, cleric; Lambe Kehinde and Lambe Taye, twin brothers; Francis Stephen, Olabode Yusuf, Musbaudeen Akorede, Adedamola Samson, Olarewaju Adisa Taofeek, Adewale Oloro.
Agboola Marvellous, Adebisi Olatunde, Moshood Okunola, Kayode Aderemi, Ayobami Olorunfemi and Paul Ayomide are undergraduates.
Others include Olaleye Solomon, Akinade Samuel, Damilola Shagaya, Muhammed Awal, Adam Mubarak, Ogundiran Nathaniel, Jamiu Ishola, Dauda Tunde, Abdullahi Sikiru, Afeez Adegoke, Jordan Adeyinka, Ojeniyi Boluwatife and Omogbolahan Ibrahim.
A statement by EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren said ten exotic cars, different brands of laptops, cell phones, a printer, among others were recovered.
Uwujaren added that the suspects would be arraigned upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigations.
