Enugu: Unknown gunmen attack, disarm NSCDC personnel

Two personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have been attacked and disarmed by unknown gunmen in Enugu.

The incident, DAILY POST reliably gathered, happened on Sunday, at the WTC housing estate in the Ogui New layout area of the state.

The attack reportedly left the personnel injured, with the hoodlums making away with their guns.

The officials who sustained injuries were later taken to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Public Relations Officer of the Civil Defence Corps, Enugu Command, Denny Manuel Iwuchukwu, confirmed the incident took place, adding that the personnel injured in the attack are currently hospitalized.
