Enyimba has received N100m for winning the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier League title
The Peoples’ Elephants were crowned champions after playing out a 1-1 draw against Rivers United on the final day of the NPL Super Six playoffs.
It’s the highest prize money received by any team in the history of the domestic game in Nigeria.
Rivers United received N50m for winning the league the previous season.
Champions Enyimba and runners-up Remo Stars will compete in the CAF Champions League while second runners-up Rivers United will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
The Federation Cup champions will also feature in CAF Confederation Cup.
