EPL: Carragher names three Man Utd legends that will support Ronaldo after explosive interview

Ex-Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has said at least three Manchester United legends will support Cristiano Ronaldo, following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

In the 90-minute sit-down, Ronaldo claimed United has made “zero progress” and he has “no respect” for manager Erik ten Hag.

Carragher has slammed the player for his comments and claimed “99% of United fans” will not be on the 37-year-old’s side.

When asked by a fan about his ‘99%’ claim, Carragher added: “Only the Ronaldo cranks [will support him]. The 1% will be Rio [Ferdinand], Roy [Keane] and Patrice [Evra]…”

Ferdinand, Keane and Evra have all defended Ronaldo in recent weeks and played down the incident during the 2-0 win over Tottenham, in which he left Old Trafford early.

Ferdinand blamed Ten Hag for a lack of communication and claimed Ronaldo should be treated “differently” as one of the best players in history.
