EPL: Chris Sutton predicts Chelsea vs Bournemouth fixture

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Sutton has predicted what the outcome of the Boxing Day Premier League clash between Chelsea and Bournemouth would be.

Chelsea returns to Premier League action on Tuesday after the five weeks World Cup break and will tread tackles with AFC Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

Graham Potter’s side currently sits eighth in the league with 21 points from 14 matches.

Bournemouth is 14th with 16 points from 15 games but Chelsea has won just two of their last eight matches.

“Chelsea is desperate for a win after going six domestic games without a victory,” Sutton told the BBC, adding that the game would end 2-0 in favour of the west Blues.

“I do expect Chelsea to win this game but it is going to be interesting to find out what happens with the Cherries next too.”
