EPL: He has no place under Potter – Boehly told to get rid of Chelsea attacker

Former Liverpool player, Stan Collymore, has urged Chelsea, under the leadership of co-owner Todd Boehly to get rid of attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang immediately before the former Arsenal captain influenced the dressing room at Stamford Bridge.

Collymore believes Aubameyang is not fit for Chelsea under manager Graham Potter.

Chelsea signed Aubameyang from Barcelona last summer transfer window for €12 million.

The swap deal saw former Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso head in the other direction to Camp Nou.

Aubameyang has so far failed to impress at Chelsea so far this season, scoring only one goal in nine Premier League appearances.

The Gabonese star failed to help Chelsea as they lost 1-0 at home against Manchester City in Thursday’s Premier League tie.

“As for Aubameyang, the punt at the time was worth it. Now? Get rid ASAP before he has any influence over the dressing room,” Collymore wrote on Twitter after the match.

“Has no place at a GP Chelsea whatsoever. Pay him up if necessary. Will only go south fast now. Probably in a gold Lamborghini.”
