EPL: He’s our guard dog, no-nonsense guy – Antony hails Man United player

Manchester United winger, Antony, has described teammate Casemiro as the team’s ‘guard dog in the middle.

Both Casemiro and Antony are Brazil internationals and have started Manchester United’s last four league games.

Casemiro entered Erik ten Hag’s starting XI following the 6-3 defeat to Manchester City having been handed some time to get to grips with English football.

Casemiro has hugely impressed in Red Devils’ midfield, filling a void that has gaped in the middle of the park for a number of years.

The Brazil international scored a dramatic injury-time equaliser against Chelsea on Sunday.

“Casemiro is a more serious type,” Antony told United’s official website.

“I always say he is our guard dog in the middle. He is a no-nonsense guy, a more serious type. I think he will leave these goal celebrations to us attacking players.”
