EPL: Iwobi equals Yobo’s single season record
Alex Iwobi became the second Nigerian to start and feature in all 38 Premier League games for Everton in a season following the Toffees 1-0 victory against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo was the first Nigerian to achieve the feat.
Yobo achieved the feat with the Merseysiders during the 2006/07 season.
The former defender scored two goals during that campaign.
Iwobi scored twice and recorded seven assists in the just-concluded season.
Sean Dyche’s men escaped relegation following the win on the final day of the season.
