EPL: Luton becomes third club to win promotion

Luton Town on Saturday, became the third team to win promotion to the Premier League.

The Hatters beat Coventry City 6-5 on penalties, to ensure they will play in the top flight for the first time in 31 years.

The game went to penalties after it ended 1-1 following extra time at Wembley.

Luton took the lead in the first half through Jordan Clark, before Gustavo Hamer levelled after the break.

This means Coventry’s 22-year wait for Premier League football will go on for at least another year.

Burnley and Sheffield United are the two other teams that will move from the Championship.
