EPL: Man City’s Gundogan makes honest confession about Man United ahead of derby

Manchester City midfielder, Ilkay has made an honest confession about the current Manchester United squad ahead of the Manchester derby this weekend.

After suffering a difficult start to the season, Manchester United have now climbed into top four in the Premier League table

Both teams will tread tackles in the Premier League on Saturday and Gundogan believes it would be the toughest derby in recent times.

The German gave a glowing review of United’s recent form under Erik ten Hag.

Gundogan told the media on Friday, “United are in a very good moment right now, full of confidence, they’re hungry, they want to win,

“They recruited some really good players in the summer and sometimes it takes time.

“It looks like it’s starting to click between them, so it’s going to be a very tough game – probably the toughest game in the Manchester derby for us in recent years.”

He said that it would be very hard for Manchester City to play Manchester United at Old Trafford, warning that Pep Guardiola’s side must be at their best.
