EPL: Merson names four big clubs that will not win title this season
Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has named four “big teams” that are out of the Premier League title race already.
Merson was speaking after the Gunners beat Brighton 4-2 to go seven points clear of champions Manchester City.
According to him, Mikel Arteta’s men are the real deal while four big teams can no longer win it.
“It’s in their hands. There are teams – big teams – that can’t win the Premier League now.
“You’re looking at Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Man United. For me, it’s Arsenal or Man City unless one of the other teams goes on the most extraordinary run in Premier League history.
“I don’t see anyone stopping Arsenal right now. They are playing very well, it’s not been a fluke,” Merson said on Sky Sports.
