EPL: Paul Merson predicts Chelsea vs Arsenal clash

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has predicted the outcome of the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Chelsea coming up this weekend.

Arsenal, who sit top of the Premier League table, visit Graham Potter Blues at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Before beating Nottingham Forest 5-0 over the weekend, the Gunners had dropped points against Southampton and lost to PSV in the Europa League.

Chelsea are 10 points behind Arsenal in the English top-flight and suffered a shock 4-1 defeat to Brighton at the weekend.

The former Arsenal striker noted that the game on Sunday will be massive for both Arsenal and Chelsea for different reasons

Chelsea will go 13 points behind the Gunners if Mikel Arteta’s side win the game and such a victory would confirm how serious the North Londoners are in their title chase.

“This is a big game for Arsenal, and they’ll need to avoid defeat.

“I think this match will end in a 1-1 draw, and that’ll be a good result for Arsenal,” he told Sportskeeda.
