EPL: What Arsenal need to win title ahead of Man City – Sol Campbell

Former Arsenal defender, Sol Campbell, has urged the club to bring in new faces in the January transfer window, if they want to win the Premier League title.

The Gunners currently top the table with 44 points after 17 fixtures, five more than champions Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s men recently drew 0-0 with Newcastle at home, a result that led to calls from the fanbase to invest in the squad.

Campbell, who won the title with Arsenal in 2002 and 2004, believes the current squad is capable of replicating that achievement.

“There is still a long way to go in the Premier League and Manchester City are slowly catching up, so it will be interesting to wait until the end of the season.

“I hope they stay calm and invest just enough to help them,” Campbell said.
