Europa League: Raphinha begs for forgiveness after Barcelona draw 2-2 with Man Utd

Barcelona winger, Raphinha has apologised for his angry reaction to being substituted during their 2-2 draw against Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday.

Raphinha was taken off after scoring Barca’s late equaliser.

The Brazilian then showed his frustration with the decision as he left the pitch to take his place on the bench.

“I want to apologise to everyone publicly,” Raphinha told Movistar.

“To the coach, to Ferran [Torres] and to all the fans.

“We are so desperate to play and help that you lose control in some moments and this can end up happening. We are all human. I made a mistake and I am sorry.”

Marcos Alonso headed Barcelona in front in the 50th minute, before Rashford squeezed in an equalizer from an acute angle.

Kounde put the ball past Marc Ter Stegen, before Raphinha pulled Barca level.
