Gombe United goalkeeper, Akor gives up on clean sheet record

Gombe United goalkeeper, Itodo Akor has revealed that it will be difficult to beat the record for most clean sheet in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Savannah Scorpions captain recorded his sixth clean sheet of the season in their 1-0 win against El- Kanemi Warriors in their matchday 13 fixture.

Akor, however, believes that with consistency and hard work he can continue to aspire to achieve that feat.

Adewale Adeyinka has the record of the most clean sheets (16) in the NPFL which he set in Akwa United’s title winning season in 2021

“It will be difficult to beat the record of the most clean sheet this season,” he told DAILY POST

“With hard work and consistency, I can achieve that feat no doubt.
