Gov Abiodun appoints Goke Raufu as D.S Adegbenro Polytechnic Rector

The D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, has got a new Rector, DAILY POST reports.

The new Rector is Dr Goke Raufu, a scholar of Mass Communication.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, approved the appointment of Dr Raufu as the substantive Rector of D. S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic on Monday.

A statement by the Chairman of the Polytechnic’s Governing Council, Toye Okanlawon, confirmed that Raufu’s appointment is effective from August 28, 2023.

Okanlawon disclosed that the new Rector takes over from Mr Kehinde Job-Olatunji, who acted as the institution’s Rector till the new appointment.

The statement read that the new Rector was, until his appointment, a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where he served in various capacities.

He was the Dean, School of Communication and Information Technology; Head, Department of Mass Communication, and Elected Member of the Polytechnic’s Academic Board, among others

Raufu has also served as a Moderator to the Department of Mass Communication of numerous polytechnics and universities.
