Insurance coach Odigie warns players against complacency

Bendel Insurance head coach, Monday Odigie has told his player to keep their feet on the ground despite the team’s impressive performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Benin Arsenals are the only team yet to taste defeat in the Nigerian top-flight this season.

Odigie’s side won seven and drew two of their nine games in the first stanza.

The former Golden Eaglets gaffer stated that it is important for his players to keep working hard when the league resume later this month.

”The second half of the season is fast approaching and there are still a lot of games to be played,” Odigie told DAILY POST.

“The most important thing for us is to maintain our level of performance and not necessarily win the league.

“We need to keep working hard and not allow any form of complacency to set in. ”

Insurance will take on Enyimba when action resume in the NPFL on March 25.
