JUST IN: Many schoolchildren feared dead in Kano explosion

An explosion on Aba Road in Kano State’s Sabon Gari area is believed to have killed many schoolchildren.

As of the time of filing this report, details about the explosion were still sketchy.

However, images from the scene revealed that many buildings were damaged, one of which is thought to house a primary school.

One of the videos that went viral also showed injured schoolchildren being escorted away from the scene of the accident.

Parents were looking for their children as well.

“My children,” one of them was heard saying.
