KADUNA AREA COMMAND RECORDS 35% REVENUE GROWTH IN LAST QUARTER OF 2025

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kaduna Area Command, has recorded a remarkable performance in revenue generation for the last quarter of 2025, generating a total of ₦14.68 billion between October and December.

This was disclosed by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, during a press briefing held at Kabala Doki, Kaduna State, on Tuesday, 13 January 2026.

Welcoming members of the press, Comptroller Hassan stated that the briefing was convened to acquaint the public with the Command’s achievements within the period under review, in line with its core mandate of revenue generation, facilitation of legitimate trade, and protection of national economic security.

According to him, the Command generated ₦14,686,256,270.40 in the last quarter of 2025, compared to ₦10,862,852,247.71 recorded during the same period in 2024. This represents an increase of ₦3.82 billion, translating to a 35 percent growth.

He described the achievement as a testament to the diligence, professionalism, and commitment of officers and men of the Command, as well as its unwavering dedication to supporting national economic growth.

A breakdown of the monthly revenue collection showed that the Command generated ₦5.16 billion in October, ₦3.83 billion in November, and ₦5.69 billion in December 2025. The Comptroller noted that sustained enforcement strategies, stakeholder engagement, and inter-unit synergy were key drivers of the impressive performance.

“The Command will continue to implement necessary measures to improve revenue collection through effective collaboration with other service units. We remain committed to dialogue and sensitisation of local and trading communities while enforcing compliance with government fiscal policies,” he said.

He attributed the Command’s success to strong motivation from the Management of the Service and the continuous deployment of intelligence and reconnaissance by the Compliance Monitoring Team.

Comptroller Hassan also commended the dedication of officers and men of the Command, as well as the support of critical units such as the Customs Intelligence Unit, Valuation Unit, and Customs Police Unit, whose prompt actions contributed significantly to the results recorded.

He further noted that the Command’s achievements align with the policy direction of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (MFR, PhD), whose leadership philosophy of consolidation, collaboration, and innovation has continued to yield positive outcomes across the Service.

In conclusion, the Customs Area Controller called on factories and terminal operators to ensure the timely payment of Excise Duty, Import Duty, and other statutory charges, while appreciating compliant traders for their cooperation. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to discharging its responsibilities in accordance with the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023.

He also expressed gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs and the Management of the Nigeria Customs Service for providing an enabling environment, and thanked stakeholders for their continuous support and collaboration.
