Keyamo congratulated Senate President, Akpabio

Former Minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has congratulated Senator Godswill Akpabio, for emerging the President of the 10th National Assembly.

Akpabio scored 63 votes to defeat his closest rival, senator Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara State.

After a keenly contested election, the Clerk to the National Assembly declared the pair of Akpabío with Jibrin Barau from Kano State winners.

Keyamo in a congratulatory message on his Twitter page wrote, “Huge congratulations to the uncommon Governor, Senator, Minister (GSM) and now Senate President with whom I had an excellent relationship in the Ministry of Niger-Delta Affairs in the last dispensation.

“Expect some uncommon moments at the National Assembly with the brand new Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio.”
